As I was watching Comedy Central on my roomie's TV tonight, since her cable box still has all its channels, I got to see South Park and, to a lesser degree, The Daily Show deliver some well-deserved body blows to Time Warner Cable, all within an hour and a half!

After a month-long blackout, I now have CBS and Showtime again. I'm catching up with the Dexter episodes I missed through On Demand, and damn does this season suck. I'd so hoped they'd go out big and with excellent writing for their final season. Though at least it made it so I didn't feel as bad missing it during the Showtime blackout.

We still don't have CBS or Showtime a week later on Time Warner Cable. This is rather ridiculous. I don't even know if they're still negotiating, since I haven't heard anything.

My big thing today is that some group of asshole motorcycle guys decided to travel at 40 mph in a 55 mph zone while occasionally doing wheelies and spread out across the entire highway to make it almost impossible for any of the mounting number of cars behind them to pass. Time Warner Cable has blacked out CBS and Showtime here. I hope it's resolved before Sunday night, when Dexter's newest episode is supposed to air, but I'm not holding my breath.

When multi-billionaire cable/internet/phone/etc. company battles multi-billionaire media giant, the customer loses either way.
